I pledge……..

Let’s go back to school time

We heard that India is defined as unity in diversity. Our country is the combination of all religions and cultures. But when I saw it on the ground it doesn’t seem like the one I had heard in school time. I came across some religious holy books and people of different religions. All holy books say the same thing but in their language. Every holy book talks about humanity and kindness towards every living being.

After all, any religion is not as great as humanity. Any culture is not as great as kindness.

After knowing all this I have a question why people in our country keep debating about these things? Nowadays every news headline becomes a discussion on religion. Irrespective of the result and outcome of the discussion. In fact, they don’t have any closure statement.

I think as we had a school pledge in our school assembly prayer that we use to take every morning. In the same way, I had created one of my own versions. But in a different way to save humanity and kindness.

We usually have this pledge:

India is my country; all Indians are my brothers and sisters. I love my country, and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage. I shall always strive to be worthy of it. I shall respect my parents, teachers, and all elders and treat everyone with courtesy. To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion. In their well being and prosperity lies my happiness.

But the one which I am discussing is:

The world is my space; all humans are as same as I m. I love my space, and I am proud of its diversity and unity. I will always be humble to every human. I will respect all elders in this space and treat everyone with wholehearted care, love, and equality. For my space and my people,

I pledge my humbleness, love, care, respect.

I pledge to spread knowledge to others.

I pledge to spread happiness and share problems.

This is my version of pledge towards humanity and kindness. People may have their own version of pledge.
